We convened an outstanding group of more than 30 diverse investment managers at Blackstone a few weeks ago – the people building the “next generation” – for the inaugural Blackstone Diverse Managers Roundtable. The goal of the roundtable event was to gather a talented group of new, diverse managers in order to share insights and practical knowledge that Blackstone has gained over more than 36 years. In addition to hiring and retaining diverse talent, we hope to increase diversity within the alternative investments industry by supporting minority-owned or managed firms as they look to form, grow and manage successful franchises. It was a productive and inspiring afternoon full of actionable advice and engaged discussion across a broad range of topics.
